A Fun and Relaxing Party

Over the weekend, my sister and bother-in-law celebrated their 23rd year marriage anniversary by having a party. They've been married for quite some time and their relationship is still going strong, I'm happy to tell. They invited me and most of our friends to the grill out/bonfire party and some were able to come while some were unable to attend.

In any case, we had a fun, relaxing time. No one got too drunk and fell in the fire this time. In fact, no one got hurt at all. Must be a record. lol.

Below, you'll find a 60 year old bicycle that my brother-in-law received as a gift. It was made by Bridgestone, of the Bridgestone Tire Company, which is owned by Japan. They only made so many of these bikes in limited edition and it was state of the art during the time.

Whitney the dog having some fun attacking the turkey and being attacked by the turkey. Don't worry. No animals were harmed and there wasn't any betting going on.

Here's a video of the dog and turkey playing around with each other. Turn up the volume to hear our "witty" banter during the animal grudge match.

Here are some baby chicks at my sister's farm. I thought this was a neat shot.

The sun sets, creating a sky of pink and blue hues, rippled in layers of clouds beyond the many trees. It's a tranquil setting. A place where you can breathe in the fresh country air and feel at peace.

Yeah, it was a pretty cool bike. In a way, hard to believe it was created in the 50's. I'm glad you like the sunset pic. I like taking pictures of them. They bring me moments of peace.

Turkey V. Dog was great. And that bike is STILL state of the art. And finally, what do you mean no one fell in the fire THIS TIME? Is there a story there? Please oh please oh please.

Turkey and Dog interactions seem to violate all sorts of laws of nature. So fun to watch. Love the bike, love the pics, love the chicks. LOVE the fun!

Pickleope- I'm glad you liked the video. It's actually the first one I've ever made with our digital camera. The video is a little grainy but not too bad for it being my first one. It was fun watching them play with each other. Yeah, that bike is still state of the art.

In the past we've all gotten so drunk where we've fallen halfway into the firepit. No serious injuries because we would manage to crawl or scurry out before receiving 3rd degree burns and whatnot. :-) There are some of these stories I've told on Psycho Carnival. Take care!

THE SNEE- Oh yeah, they do violate all sorts of laws of nature. Glad you liked the video and pics of chicks and other amusements. We all had a great time where no one got hurt. And we never laughed so hard. Hopefully, my sister will have another bonfire party sometime later this year.

Have a damn good day, Rebecca and don't do anything I wouldn't do. :-)

The turkey and dog movie was spellbinding. They were really playing like a couple of kids.

bazza- Yeah, they were a lot of fun to watch, especially when you've drank a little. That was my first movie shot with our digital camera. Wasn't sure what I was doing. But I thought it turned out okay.

Have a dandy day!

The video of Tom the turkey and Whitney the dog turned out pretty good. Tom has no sense of humor and Whitney thinks that everyone should want to play with her. The fire smoldered for days. We stoked it back up last night, as a matter of fact. Good party!

Krista- Cool. You left a comment. Thanks, sista. Yeah, the video did turn out pretty good. I think I should check out what I can do to sharpen the video up next time I take a home movie with the digital camera.

And yeah, Whitney is very playful. I'm glad she's a good, non-biting, friendly dog, too. The best kind of dog to have. I have no doubt the fire smoldered for days with all the stuff we put on it. Geez! It's great that you stoked it up again last night. Did you sit around it again? It was a great party! Take care!

Such savageery! Whoupsalong! I have reported this site to the authoritative body of WWW management agency, DRVR.

Expect jail time.

Anonymous- Whoupsalong to you, too, friend. I've never heard of those agencies that you speak of. Are they affiliated with the Official Dong Lovers of Utah association?

P.S. I've got a Get Out of Jail Free card so I'm not worried. :)
