I Haven't The Foggiest Idea

These are shots I took of different areas around where I live. It was around 35 degrees Fahrenheit and foggy as heck. I knew it would be a good picture shooting opportunity, so off I went in the truck, with camera. These were taken about 8 or 9 o' clock in the morning. The fog stuck around until early afternoon.

little known fact....I'm scared of fog

There's something quite haunting about fog. These foggy photos capture the very essence. Great stuff, Kelly.
Kind wishes, Gary.

The first picture seemed like it showed a bunch of sinister-looking characters in uniform. Then, on closer inspection, it look's like statues on a plinth. I'm still not sure!
London has a reputation as a foggy place, probably because of a certain song. However, fog is hardly ever seen here!

That picture is of something quite odd we have in our downtown business area. Even though there is a plaque, in front, that sort of explains what it is... It still is creepy looking- even during the day. They are, indeed, statues of people in uniform. And there are statue children, close by, sort of surrounding them, laughing. I think they're laughing. The whole thing sits right next to the river.

Yeah, I've always picture London as kind of bleak and sometimes foggy. I give credence to your testimony about the conditions there. But I've also heard it was foggy-ish and/or bleak-ish at times from a few people who live in London, too. I'm sure it's not like that all the time. I can't really say anything about it since I don't live there and I'd be a fool to do so.

Anywhoo... Glad you stopped by to comment. Take care.

Thanks for the compliment. Glad you liked them.

I see I have already commented but... viewing pictures again made me realize: I've always liked black and white best.

Sissy- Thanks for commenting again. I agree... black and white pictures are cool. I may do a series with nothing but that type.

I LOVE fog like that. Kudos for taking advantage of it!

Lana- Yeah, they're pretty cool, aren't they? Luckily, it stayed foggy like that until early afternoon so I was able to take my time with taking the pics.

MarytrMom- Oops...forgot to comment back to ya... All I can say is... I can understand your fear of fog. To me, it's at it's most eeriest at night.

klahanie- Ooops... Forgot to comment back to you, too. I agree. There is something haunting about fog. It's very mysterious.

Fantastic opportunity to illuminate the fog Kelly. I love the bridges....fortunately they don't look like they're over troubled waters. Which river is that BTW?

Kelly said...

THE SNEE- Well, the water pictures are from two sources. The Ohio River and Tanners Creek. Tanners Creek eventually runs into the Ohio River. We have a lot of creeks in the area.
