First off, I would like to thank all of my first followers and fellow bloggers for checking out my new site and leaving kind remarks. I know this is quite different from my other site and I believe I'm staying more true to myself and everyone else by showing another facet of my personality.
Today, we had some inclement weather in the tri-state Ohio Valley area. Tornado warnings were being given for nearly every county. We had wind gusts of up to 70 mph. What better time, I thought, than to go out and take some snapshots. Who knows? Maybe I'll see a tornado or perhaps a tree breaking in half and landing on the hood of my truck or a house, I thought, to my morbid delight. What fun!
The photos show a gradual progression of the severity of today's storm. In this one, you can see the clouds gathering, quite nicely.
I like this pic because the rain drops hitting the parking lot really show the intensity of their impact when you zoom in on them.
This is pretty cool, too. If you have a decent imagination, you can see patterns, shapes and forms on the front windshield. This is also one you would definitely want to zoom in on.
The visibility became progressively worse, as you can see. And it's because of the rain... Not clouds, fog or steam.
Notice how it became so dark, even though it was just 1:00 in the afternoon, that the parking lot lights came on.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture any tornado shots but I still liked what I was able to get. When you look at the details of a photograph, you will surprise yourself, at times, by the scope of what you are able to perceive and observe.

I love this, and it's the very reason even though I'm very new to blogging, I've already been considering a 2nd & maybe 3rd blog.
And I also love, LOVE photography.
I love this. Some good & wild pics!
LilPixi- I'm glad you liked what I said. I think people who are truly strong in their convictions, should have the courage to tell them to the world.
Yeah, doing several blogs, I think, is a great idea. As long as it doesn't take over your life like I think it does for some bloggers out there. Heh heh.
That's cool you like photography. It's a great way to express yourself and find things that can inspire you or make you think. Thanks for the compliments.
Wait til you see what I have coming up!
I love these photos! I'm a weather fanatic, so storm chasing is fun! I particularly love the windshield and the photos that show how dismally, dark it got! Yikes! What a day in Ohio!
Wow Kelly, that's just totally awesome. Amazing photos of nature at its fiercest. And heck, you can barely see 'Burger King'!
THE SNEE- Call me crazy, and many have, but I thought it was pretty fun to go out into the storm. The warning sirens were going off all around me but I didn't give a hoot. Glad ya loved the pics. I 'risked" my life for 'em. Hehehehe... Just kidding.
klahanie- Thanks, Gary. I thought they were pretty cool. I could hardly see Burger King, Big Lots and a whole slew of cars around me at times. Good thing I didn't have to pee in that lot. :)
Wow...cool! It got REALLY windy here that afternoon, too (but no clouds.) Had to go get the garbage can out of the middle of the street. Fortunately the lid had blown into the yard.
Lol. You WERE fortunate that your lid found it's way into the yard. No such luck here. Our entire neighborhood was "trashed" with broken down trees, garbage cans and kid's plastic tricycles.
